I first got to know the author Molly Wisenberg through her book Delancey.

I loved this book.

It was Molly's memoir about opening a restaurant with her husband and all the challenges that came along with it.

Years later, Molly would discover that she was attracted to women and non-binary people, and

she and her husband would separate. That's when this story begins. She was in

her late 30s, newly separated with a young daughter when she met Ash. And I love this story because it gets into the nitty-gritty about how

we make a family and about the roles that we all play in that family. When Molly met Ash she was just coming to terms with her sexuality

and when the two of them met Molly wasn't looking for anything serious

she was honestly just kind of looking to mess around.

But as the famous saying goes, make plans,

and the universe laughs.

We're going to start at the beginning, before Molly and Ash even knew each other.

I wanted to know who they were before they became Molly and Ash. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
