Chaz is a critically acclaimed film and TV producer

and publisher of the preeminent movie review site Roger Ebert.com, a prominent voice and successful business

leader in the entertainment space. She shared a life with Pulitzer Prize winner

and iconic movie reviewer Roger Ebert in their work to foster empathy through cinema and around the globe.

They established the Ebert Fest Film Festival and the Roger Ebert Center for Film Studies at the University of Illinois.

Chaz's latest book, It's Time to Give Effect,

not the other word, Effect,

Elevating humanity through forgiveness, empathy,

compassion, and kindness came out on May 7th of this year.

Amidst a sea of national pessimism, an increasingly fragmented national political system,

rising racial and cultural tensions, climate chaos, and

global economic volatility, this inspirational book explores the fundamental human values of forgiveness, empathy, compassion, and kindness, the fact principles,

topics that couldn't be more timely, topical, and relevant as we head towards one of the most

Thank you, Denise. I'm really happy to be here with you to talk about the fact principles and just bringing more kindness and actually compassion into this world.

It's like you said, it's so sorely needed at this time. It's everything it's

everything and it feels like whatever topic we put on the table it it has to become divisive. People take a stand. They're

emotionally so invested in being right rather than seeing the humanity in one another. And when I started to read through your book, I thought this is exactly, this needs to be a given out to people in schools and businesses to remember that we're all in this together. It does not have to be so extreme.
