I think that we have this deep catalog of episodes that tell people's stories. And in a time when everybody is so quarantine focused,

there are certain things, certain conversations that will take you out of that.

I think there's a comfort in listening to someone talk about getting through some real hardships,

and that is what our podcast has sort of excelled at.

Yeah.

And in terms of this specific episode with Sycamore, I think that here's somebody that,

well, especially when the world is sort of on timeout, I think that it's important to listen

to people who sort of see the future and are very good at calculating and dismantling the

institutions that there already are. And Sycamore, who has worked with Travis Scott and

YG and a number of other artists, is just incredibly smart and focused about the choices that he makes.

Yeah, this is an episode that through the five years that we've been doing podcasts,

people revisit again and again.

People who work in the industry who have been like, yo, that's inspired me, that put me on,

that led me down the right path, people who just enjoy the music business, and people who just

really like to hear a compelling story, Sycamore is that guy. He's really well read. He is a lot

of fun. He's a funny guy. And he's from the mud. He's from out there in Brooklyn. He made it by his

own bootstraps. He went and sold

mixtapes. He opened up a mixtape store. He worked his way into the label system and then
