2025 is upon us, but the show rolls on. It's time for the beginning of our wonderful journey

through the best wrestling matches of 2025. It's always an exciting time, wondering what could be,

what will be the best matches? Will any of the matches in January still be in the conversation come the end of the year? It'll be very exciting to find out together.

So, without further ado, no, not without further ado, I'm going to say a little bit.

Usually January is packed full of wonderful matches and this January had a lot of good matches in it.

I just think maybe compared to previous years,

it's been a little bit of a lighter January.

A big reason for that might be the lack of a WWE pay-per-view,

and a lot of the TV in WWE has been geared towards advancing storylines

as we head into the Rumble and then, you know, down the road to WrestleMania.

But there were other promotions that put on good matches, and there was one in particular that I thought was absolutely marvelous.

We'll have to find out what that is.

Let's begin, as is tradition, I think by this point.

Let's begin by heading to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

For those who don't know, January 4th, every year is Russell Kingdom,

the big, you know, the equivalent of WrestleMania for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

So let's begin there.
