James Acaster here, comedian and music fan, and in 2017, I had a breakdown. I dealt with that breakdown

0:14.2

by buying as much music from 2016 as I possibly could. As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm

0:23.6

convinced it's the greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough me being convinced.

0:28.2

I also need to convince each and every single one of you, plus a guest every week. I'm going to

0:32.6

send them an album in advance. They're going to come on the podcast. We're going to talk about

0:36.1

that album. This week, my guest is Jade Adams, and we're going to come on the podcast, we're going to talk about that album. This week,

0:37.8

my guest is Jade Adams, and we're going to be talking about the Johnny Freerson album,

Have you been good to yourself? Have you been getting your proper race? Johnny

1:16.7

Then way down the line in 2010, he passed away, and his cassettes weren't discovered until 2013, and then officially released in 2016.

1:25.4

This is a very special album. We haven't talked about lost albums

1:28.3

on the podcast. This is why I wanted to do it. It's why I think it's so special. There's so

1:32.7

many albums out there that just get lost in time, you know, in attics, in cellars, in the back

1:37.5

of shops. People never hear them. And then some crate digger will find them, dust them off,

1:42.5

and then release them officially. And there's always so much magic to a lost album.

1:46.4

I think it's very special.

1:47.2

And this, to me, is the greatest lost album that was released in 2016.

1:55.4

I just want to say thank you, Lord.

1:57.3
