Hi, I'm Susie McIntyre Eaton, and you're watching Jesus Listen Stories of Prayer.

Today we have Paige King Johnson, who grew up in North Carolina, and as a young girl, she learned how to play the guitar. She had a wonderful

love of country music and she's had mentors along the way. She's not only in music, but she also

dabbles into TV and has a dinner theater. So sit back and relax. We're going to have a wonderful conversation with

Paige. Hey, Paige, it's so good to have you on Jesus Listen Stories of Prayer today. How you

doing? I'm doing very good. Tell us a little bit how you were raised and how that had an

influence on what you're doing today. Absolutely. I was raised

in a small farm in town in North Carolina, just south of Raleigh. And whenever I was about six

years old, I started taking piano lessons. And really, because my older sister was doing it,

and I wanted to be like her. And I started realizing

how much joy music brought me, you know, even at that very young age. And as I kind of progressed

through that, my family started to see how much joy it brought me as well too. And so when I was 10,

my grandpa bought me a guitar for Christmas that year. And I was so blown away with

excitement. And he encouraged me to kind of delve into music a little bit deeper and see where it could take me.

That's good. That's good. You know, music stays with us forever. There's just so much that music does for us.

There's no telling what it does on the inside of our

heart to calm us, you know? And it's something that I don't think parents would ever regret doing

for their children as giving them lessons to play an instrument. So you went on to into high school. What did you
