who is the author of a book featuring a very bizarre character,

a chief from the CIA called James Jesus Angleton.

But first, I'm going to try and jeff to tell us as much as possible

about how we got into this and his his work and the book and everything else huge thank you

for coming on appreciate it thank you Sean thanks for having me what got you peaked about the JFK assassination then?

When I first started working at the Washington Post in 1992, that was the year Oliver Stone's movie came out.

And I'd been at the Post.

I mean, I've been a journalist in Washington for about eight years, and I became an editor at the Post. I mean, I'd been a journalist in Washington

for about eight years, and I became an editor at the Post.

I was familiar with the JFK story.

I'd read a few books, read the Warren Commission report,

didn't really have any strong opinion about it,

was kind of puzzled by it, but thought, this happened so long

ago that there's nothing I can do. I can't interview anybody or anything like that. I didn't really

think about it. Then after Stone's movie became a big hit and there was a furious debate, Congress passed

a law called the JFK Records Act. And what Congress said was really very sensible.
