Summary

Jim is an artificial intelligence researcher at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and one of the originators of the Semantic Web.
Jim talked about the role that Artificial Intelligence will play in our lives in near future. He also talked in length about the controversial topic: Artificial Intelligence vs Humans and according to Jim, AI is going to transform the range of industries including the healthcare, legal and automobile industry.
Jim said that in the future, there will be a co-existence between humans & AI systems that will be hopefully of service to humanity. These AI systems will involve software systems that handle the digital world, and also systems that move around in physical space, like drones, and robots, and autonomous cars, and also systems that process the physical space, like the Internet of Things.
This is a fascinating interview with one of the top researcher in the AI field and it’s a must listen for all the people who are interested in Artificial Intelligence and its future.

in in AI specifically what are you working on right now? Sure well I've been in the

field for many years and so I've had a lot of students doing a lot of different things.

Right now I'm doing a lot of work looking at artificial intelligence and

world wide web I was well known for some of the early work in that area about 15 years

ago and so I've been starting to come back and look at how the whole
