Yay, you're here. I'm Lisa Whittle, and welcome to Jesus Over Everything, affectionately known as Joe, a short, practical podcast where we will not be perfect, we will be honest, and we will talk a lot about Jesus along the way. If you're just joining us, we are in week four of our six

week Joe Shopping Fast. It's been amazing to journey through this with you. Some of you joining me

for this have read Jesus over everything or done the Bible study. If not, it might be something

to consider so you can get even more support and insight for what we're really doing with this,

turning our focus on Jesus

to give him the priority in our lives he deserves. Whatever reason you join this fast or are

here today, I'm so glad you're here. And this week, week four, is all about turning that corner,

seeing the home stretch and making some determinations. Let's get into this short and I hope powerful

conversation for you right now. You've done the hard work of detox and discovery and praying

through and defying those cravings of the past and you're moving full steam ahead.

Or number two, you're still in a battle of craving some of your old way of life.

We always will be this side of heaven in some way, by the way.

And you're looking for some newfound strength today.

Or number three, you just happen to come here and God has a word for you you might

not have even been looking for. He is very good to do that. Whatever the reason is that you've come,

please know this. God can give you the strength to finish well. Whatever it is you need to finish well

in your life. Maybe you need strength to finish this six weeks well.

He's got strength for you for that. Maybe it's strength to make it through a really hard time

in your marriage or with a particularly difficult time with a child or in a job search or

whatever it is. Shear determination alone in our strength won't do it. I wish it were up to us

because I'm a determined human being and my guess is maybe you that are listening, you're in that

same category. And so if it were up to me and if it were up to sheer determination, I think I'd
