affectionately known as Joe's Friday friend, where everyone I sit down and talk with is either

an old or a new friend of mine. Don't panic, yes, it's Wednesday. I've got a very special Joe for you today,

a bonus interview that I know a ton of you will be very excited about. The first ever

multi-season TV show about the life of Jesus, The Chosen, has become a phenomenon. And I'm

thrilled to have had a chance to talk with its creator, director, and co-writer, American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins.

Dallas is a huge Jesus lover, which is obvious to anyone who has watched The Chosen,

and I brought him all the questions you probably have if you're a fan of the show.

Even if you aren't, I hope you'll listen to Joe today because I want you watching The Chosen.

It is truly the show to be watching right

now in this day and time in our troubled world. And I believe more than ever after talking

with Dallas that God ordained this powerful series, the first of its kind, the highest crowdfunded

TV series or film project of all time done unconventionally like our unconventional savior.

And it is for such a time as this. I believe it with all my heart.

You probably won't remember this, but I tried to have you come speak for a conference that we were doing here in Charlotte, North Carolina called Words about, about three or four years ago,

and you and I had some conversation via email and scheduling-wise. I think you couldn't. But what's so

interesting is I'm sure you are working on the chosen at that time, because things take time, but of

course it wasn't out yet, and I would have no understanding about what you were actually doing or what a phenomenon it would become.
