Jesus is in the middle of

what is known as his high priestly prayer. He is praying for the disciples. There are plenty of

things for us to take from this. But initially, it seems that he's really honing in on the disciples

and what it's going to be like for them in the coming days. We ended last week with him saying these words,

they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

Sanctify them in the truth, your word is truth,

as you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

And for their sake, I consecrate myself, I sanctify myself that they also may be sanctified
