and congratulations on the purpose code. I have to say I really enjoyed reading the book.

I want to talk about the genesis of the book. What was the catalyst for you to write a book about purpose?

Believe it or not, it was completely unexpected. So I wrote my first book taking stock, and the main premise of that book is that we should put purpose before our financial framework. We should think about purpose first. And I was out marketing that book, and I would go to conferences and I would give talks about it.

And people would come up to me afterwards.

And instead of them being excited and happy, they were frustrated and angry.

And so the first time this happened, I was very much questioning.

And someone said, look, it's great that you tell me to find my purpose,
