This is a replay of my episode with the brilliant Bridgerton author Julia Quinn, recorded in 2021. She is a No.1 New York Times bestselling author of eighteen consecutive NYT bestsellers including Bridgerton. The Duke and I is back in Sunday Times bestseller list in the U.K twenty years after publication and this was of course partly due to the fact that on December 25, 2020, Netflix premiered Bridgerton, based on her novels adapted by Shonda Rhimes. We spoke about writing, believing in your abilities and the moment she got the phone call from her agent about Bridgerton being optioned. Hope you enjoy!
