I wasn't even planning on getting access and then when I didn't get access I was like,

oh, okay. I'll tell you that story in half a second but welcome thank you so much for being here

Thanks for pressing play. Thanks for supporting the show if you don't know it's been a little bit of time just a few days since we've been

live since I have done the show I think I'm still getting over some voice

horse voice loss from the live shows in Chicago at the Lincoln Lodge, which were so

effing fun. Truly, Chicagoans, you've got a great town. You are a great people. A lot of folks came out and said hi and I really appreciated that.

They supported. Y'all were fun, you know how to laugh, and more than anything, and everyone can listen to the last episode,

the live episode, we had a really good discussion. We had real substantive discussion about progressive agendas on a

citywide level and how to go about making change and even charting an alternative, you know,

third course, if you will, a third way,

not in the corporate centrist Joe Mansion third way, but in the like socialist third way, you know,

LA City Council has a number of socialists, either DSA affiliated or DSA backed candidates.

Rosanna Rodriguez, who was on our show, is like Ran,

not as a Democrat, but as a socialist and won,

and is truly addressing the needs of the people of Chicago and her

district and her ward I should say and that was really really really

fucking inspiring so I think some of us were different levels of

inspired and uninspired by the activities of the DNC and we'll get into all of

that. I'm very eager to tell you and to look over some of like

maybe the highlights, the low lights, the things that we love, the things that we didn't love.
