And the song is very much at least to me in that 616 in LA kind of overall feeling. It feels like a precursor to something else just like 616 in LA was a precursor to the kind of the main event of the battle. Kendrick is talking to God directly again as if

kind of immediate interpretation of the song is that it does feel like a precursor.
