But there has been interest in this unsolved case as of late, and I decided to update the script

and release it again. Kathy and Jack deserve to be remembered.

From cold cases that defy logic to the crimes that haunt the Great Lakes region.

Right now there is no trace. This is the

already gone podcast. I've said it before. Michigan, the Great Lake State, is a sportsman's

paradise. We have thick woodlands and rivers running with trout and bass, lakes great and small for fishing,

kayaking, and sailing. You don't have to venture too far from Detroit either.

Oakland County has its share of lakes and waterfront, and the northern part of the county between

Pontiac and Flint is the town of Holly. Holly is home to many lakes and campgrounds,

beckoning those who want to get away without making the long drive up north.

It was on one of these lakes on a spring day in 1971 that Michael Hayden and his little brother

caught something they wouldn't soon forget.

Come with me on a trip through the western suburbs of Detroit and the farthest reaches of Oakland County,

on a ride through an unsolved double murder that still haunts the community. 19-year-old Jack Keys of Northville seemed to have it all.

He was nice looking, enrolled at Schoolcraft Community College, and he had a

good job at the local Ford plant. He also drove a three-year-old Mustang, which, when I was growing up,
