The thing that I love about the Reed is it's very centering. Blackness is centered in that world and gayness is centered in that world and the blackness

pulls me in the gayness I have to learn about so I feel like I'm centered and yet there's a lot for me to learn so I need to sit on the sidelines for some of it and listen and be a good ally but for some of it I'm like you are bringing me right here into the middle of who I am and

so much of the world even black art is sometimes centered ultimately around the white

gaze yeah and your show is 100% centered ultimately around the white gays.

Yeah.

And your show is 100% toward the black, gay, and lesbian

gaze.

I think that it's really just a show that's about being human and being ourselves

and trying to be as transparent with that as possible. I don't really feel like we, I don't really feel like the podcast is something that is made to like please anyone

specific kind of person. We're both black, we're both queer, and we're both I think
