1:04.0	whale's tale of how you got interested in this area and you know some of your
1:08.1	background. For sure. So I've always wanted to work with Dolphins ever since I was a kid. I remember being on the beach with mom and telling her that what did I need to be to work with dolphins and she told me I needed to be marine biologists so that's kind of where that all started and every decision I've made since then has been to make
1:25.8	sure I've had the best opportunity of getting into this career pathway.
1:29.1	I went through my undergraduate doing marine biology in South Australia and I have expanded my network. graduate doing
1:34.3	marine biology in South Australia and I have expanded my network doing some internships and volunteering and research assistant gigs all over the world
1:39.4	mostly for marine megaphauna so sharks, dolphins, whales, turtles as well and now I'm doing my
1:46.2	PhD that's focused on killer whale genomics so I've somehow lucked out and been able to work
1:51.3	I think I'm the coolest dolphin in the ocean.
