It's a beautiful day outside and we have lots to get to as we are quickly approaching

the 2025 NFL draft. We're starting to taste it a little bit, starting to get ever so close

to finding out who the Bears take at number 10 overall. But before we get to that, fellas,

I think it is important that we address the news

of the last 24 hours. And really, it's arguably one of the bigger pieces of news across

the NFL is that Kyler Gordon, the bear's cornerback, has been extended three years, $40 million,

making him the second highest paid, or the highest paid,

excuse me, the highest paid slot corner in the National Football League. Let's start with your

reactions. Clay, why don't you go ahead. I know this is something we've talked a lot about as probably the next big move that we were anticipating from Ryan Poles. Yeah, we saw it coming.

They asked polls if that was something on his to-do list, and he said, yeah, it was something

you wanted to get done. And you heard Ben Johnson, one of the first things he called out in his

opening press conference was,

I think we have a great nickel cornerback. Same thing with Dennis Allen. I think we have a great

nickel cornerback and we're going to find ways to utilize him. So the value obviously comes from

the type of player that Kyler Gordon is, but the value also comes is he's going to fit perfectly into Dennis Allen's scheme.

And they know that from the type of player he is.

Because he's an aggressive player.
