Summary

America is in the grips of the worst COVID-19 outbreak since the pandemic began, in terms of infections, hospitalizations and deaths. That means testing is now more important than ever before, and will continue to be a key public health tool even after vaccinations begin. Today is Friday, December 11th.

past, present, and future of coronavirus testing. America right now is in the grips of the worst COVID-19 outbreak since the pandemic began.

More than 107,000 Americans are currently hospitalized with the virus.

week, but the volume of people getting tested remains extraordinarily high. LabCorp, for example,

1:38.3

says it's performing more than one million PCR tests per week. So we wanted to better understand the state of testing with LabCorp
