The Lakers get the big win over the Denver Nuggets, frankly, an easier win than really what the final score suggests because they were able to, well, the Nuggets pulled much closer in the fourth quarter than most of the game was the Lakers had control of the majority of the game.

Worth noting, of course, no Nicola Yokic, no Jamal Murray for the Denver Nuggets.

And let me just start there.

I am shocked, shocked that that happened.

When does that ever happen for the Los Angeles Lakers that players actually sat out

against the Lakers?

We are used to players returning to play against the Lakers.

We are used to guys being resurrected from the dead to play the Lakers.

It's crazy.

And yet in this game, in an important matchup for both sides,

Yokic and Murray did not play. And the Lakers, they took care of business. Good to see for the

Lakers. Final score 120108, but as I said, it was with the third string in for much of the

fourth quarter when the nuggets

caught up. The Lakers were very much in control of this game. Most of the way Denver made a

few little runs here and there, but the Lakers really took care of business in this one. And

with the win, that is going to move them up in the standing. So the win is going to provide

a couple things. Like obviously the win itself, that's important.

Not picking up another loss.

That's important.

The Lakers stay at 25 losses.
