0:00.0	Can you imagine how significant it was for any Jew after the Passover was originally instituted
0:07.3	to have the audacity to change the liturgy of it?
0:11.2	Well, the only person in the world who had the authority to make such drastic changes to the
0:16.9	liturgy was Jesus himself, because the Passover was about Him.
0:27.6	Jesus and his disciples had gathered in an upper room. There was a sense of anticipation
0:34.6	as they prepared for the Jewish tradition of the Passover's
0:38.6	Supper.
0:40.0	This is the Thursday edition of renewing your mind, and I'm glad you're joining us.
0:45.8	After the bread was broken and passed around, Jesus made an astonishing change to the
0:51.1	liturgy of the Passover, a change so drastic that the disciples could

1:03.0	In our last session, we looked at Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and we talked about
1:10.2	Jesus fulfilling three offices from the Old
1:15.1	Testament, the office of prophet, priest, and king. And of course, as enthusiastically as Jesus was
1:23.8	received by the multitudes, in contrast to that that the rulers of the Sanhedron and of the
1:31.2	religious establishment were outraged by Jesus' triumphal entry. And we begin to see the storm
1:42.3	cloud starting to gather, and the situation rapidly becomes extremely ominous.
1:50.8	And so I'm going to look for a moment at Luke 22, where in verse one we read the following words.
1:59.8	Now the feast of unleavened bread drew near, which is called
2:05.3	Passover, and the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him, for they feared the people.
2:20.0	And it goes on to say that then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Escariat, who was numbered
2:28.4	among the twelve.
