Greetings folks and welcome to extra time. I'm Matt Doyle joined here by Caitlin Carr in a Leagues Cup preview special. Yes, this is our normal Thursday time slot but no we are not talking about the

MLS regular season. We're not going to talk about the all-star game at all. What we're going to talk about

is what's coming up over the next month. The League's Cup, the second official full version of it. It's 49, excuse me, 47 teams, 29 from MLS, 18 from League of MX.

It runs from July 26 to August 25th.

There are some changes from last year to this year

that I'll get into in a second.

Amazing, man. Just watching the All-star festivities.

I appreciate it by the way congratulations on the one-man show on the last extra time.

Dude that was an all-star level feat to be able to do that for an hour 20 plus, but once I read your

columns I'm like, oh yeah, he's got that in him.

Yeah, I just had it all in my brain and I guess I needed to get it out. I really thought it was only

going to be 45 minutes when I kicked it off. But no. It was awesome. I was in for every second of it and

if you're a League MX coming through,

it's a pretty good primer if you're trying to catch up

on MLS teams to see what's awaiting.

So yeah, no, I think, but I'm ready for Leasekep.
