Taolin is a Taiwanese American novelist, poet, essayist, short story writer, and artist. He earned his B. A. and journalism from New York University.

He's known for his flat affectless style and his work is usually loaded with

He is also the author of 10 books of prose and poetry,

including his latest novel, Leave Society,

which is published in 2021.

He is also the founder and editor of M-M-M-DMA Films.

He has taught at Sarah Lawrence and presented his work at places such as Yale, Vassar, and the Museum of Modern Art.
