or, let's say, a train ticket, simply because no more tickets are available.

In this kind of situation, there are always people outside of the venue

selling the tickets for double or even triple of the original price.

It's also possible that you can purchase the ticket for less money than from the original source,

especially just minutes before the event starts.

And this is exactly what happened to me in Shanghai.
