For this episode of the Technology Podcast, Rebecca Parsons and Birgitta Böckeler spoke to Andreas Nauerz, CTO and Executive Vice President of Bosch Digital, who explained how he and his team have been thinking about generative AI and exploring the ways it can be leveraged across a huge multinational organization. He discusses where generative AI has already been effective, managing risk and the challenges of bring a large organization with you as you seek to implement something new.

0:31.6	Andreas, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and about Bosch?
0:35.5	Yeah, absolutely. So first of all, thanks for having me.
0:39.0	Maybe I tell you a little bit about my short history in Bosch because it's quite
0:43.7	untypical.
0:44.3	So normally when you're talking to someone being the CEO or EVP of Bosch, they all have
0:49.1	this typical Bosch Vita, like being 20 years with Bosch.
0:51.8	I can't offer you that.
0:54.3	So I joined Bosch in 2019 at corporate research.
0:58.2	And then I was one and a half years later,
1:01.1	I was then appointed the CEO and CTO of Bosch I.O.
1:05.1	Where we have been looking into the Bosch A.IOT strategy
1:09.5	and where we developed a IoT and IoT-related products and solutions.
1:13.1	And then, exactly as you have said, beginning of this year, I became the CTO of Bosch Digital,
1:19.3	which is at least as we call it, which is the digital powerhouse of the Bosch Group on its
1:24.9	mission to drive forward to the digital transformation.
1:27.4	And before I joined Bosch, on its mission to try forward to the digital transformation.
1:33.2	And before I joined Bosch, I worked for different software companies worldwide. I think the longest time for IBM, and there was a program director and a senior technical staff member,
1:38.4	primarily responsible for IBM serverless compute solutions. And yeah, I studied computer science, by the way.
