Summary

I’m so excited. It’s my birthday! I am 50 years old today!!!

The women in my family have lived to be old—into their 90s and 100s. I have always been in awe of all they have done in their lives. Organize 365® just turned 10 years old.  I think I am going to live to 100, so I am just getting started.

I have an innate understanding of time and money that I call “Lisa math.” It doesn’t follow the traditional rules about these things, but I am able to use it to show how I understand the world.

We all have constraints in life. We are naturally limited by our time, money, and energy. Getting organized helps you to develop more capacity by investing your current time for a future return of more time.

Improving your capacity allows you to do more things in life, handle unexpected events, and live out your unique purpose.

The mission of Organize 365® is to help busy people get their home and paper organized so that they can do what they are uniquely created to do.

Over the last 20 years, my Sunday Basket® has given me an extra 5,200 hours. I have poured that extra time into creating Organize 365®. I have been able to help many of you save more time by using your Sunday Baskets®. And, boy, have those hours added up!

By end of 2020, the Organize 365® customers saved over 1 million hours!!! At the end of 2021, we have saved over 2.5 million hours.

Your time and capacity have been unlocked. So many of you have been gracious enough to share how you are living your unique purpose using the hashtag #myextra5. That is the best birthday gift ever.

Life is work. We work so hard as humans at life. Our paid work, our invisible work, our hobby work,

0:11.0

it's even work to plan a vacation. Like we're always moving, doing, checking things off of

0:16.7

checklists. And as we work, if you choose to start a company or build something bigger than you,

0:24.3

you can work and work and work and work for a paycheck and you can work for a profit. But ultimately,

0:30.0

you need to work for something bigger, something greater, almost a movement. And as Organized 365 has grown over the years, I had different goals that I

0:41.8

achieved, like being able to work full time, being able to make X amount of dollars, being able to

0:46.9

have a team, X size, et cetera, et cetera. And those are targets and those are metrics and those

0:52.3

are measurable goals that you can use as you are growing a business.

0:55.8

But along the way, one of my biggest strengths finders or my top strengths finders is significance.

1:02.3

I want things that are of significance.

1:04.5

I want my time and effort and energy to go into things that will live beyond me and will increase the capacity not only in myself but in

1:12.9

others. So as I was thinking about this and as organized 365 has continued to grow, I thought to

1:20.5

myself, how do you measure impact? How do you measure significance in someone else's life?

1:27.2

I mean, sure, you could count how many Sunday baskets we've sold or what the revenue is in

1:31.3

Organized 365, and that is a metric.

1:33.7

It's definitely one the IRS pays a lot of attention to.

1:37.3

But ultimately, that doesn't really tell you what the impact of the organized 365 transformation

1:43.1

is.

1:48.0

And so back on my 50th birthday in episode 475,

1:55.6

as I was starting my second half century of life, I thought, what am I doing? What am I contributing to? What is the impact and the significance of organized 365 for the member that chooses to invest

2:04.3

in what we are creating here? And for me, it's your time back. Not just like you get an organized

2:12.6

365 product and will give you physical time back. It's more being able to better prioritize your time,
