because of yes studies like this and also because I have felt for a while this was sort of a

taboo subject in the church, but also one that we needed to talk about.

So the research I was referring to at the top of the show, by the way, was conducted by the

nonprofit RTI International for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

It was part two of a study launched in 2020 to analyze the pandemic's effects on American

drinking habits.

That's where it came from.

And here are some things to note.

It wasn't just for a time, but it held and it kept going this sort of trend in consumption

of alcohol.
