Summary

[CONTENT WARNING: This story contains imagery of weapons and hunting animals as they were needed for survival during the late 1800's. The story also has racist elements in its portrayal of Native American Indians and may be offensive to some listeners. Although these racist elements are disturbing, it is part of our history and offers an opportunity for open and honest discussions about our past. Hopefully, it will be taken in the context of the times it was written in and portrayed.]

Tonight we have the continuation of the cherished classic story of Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder as I read for you Chapters 21 & 22. Little House on the Prairie is the second book of the Little House series. This story is about a little girl named Laura Ingalls and her family who leave behind their little House in the Big Woods of Wisconsin and are now heading to Kansas. The story captures the essence of pioneer life through the eyes of a young Laura. She provides vivid descriptions of the challenges and joys of frontier living with detailed accounts of hunting trips, encounters with Native Americans, and the hardships they face as early settlers. This book has captured the hearts of both young and old, making it a cherished classic.

Enjoy and sweet dreams!
