You will be amused to know that I've just

recorded 18 and a half minutes of this in audio only before suddenly realizing it's supposed to be

video as well. Heartbreakingly, the vast majority of you will be experiencing this in audio,

but I have nonetheless gone back and started all over again. Maybe it will be a good thing

because I've sort of had a run at it now. So this is the first section at least. I am Stuart Goldsmith.

Hi, welcome. This is a little look behind the scenes at there's got to be a better word than journey.

Experience, my experience, but an experience over time, you know, like a journey.

To sort of from getting booked to do live at the Apollo, to things I thought, how I told people, their reactions, how I worked on the set, how I drilled it, what decisions I made, those kind of things.

There's a bit of audio of me flipping out in a van when the reality of it sinks in.

I get very excited. Also, there's some video from before and just before and just after I went on stage. Stuff like that. If this is too navel-gazing, feel free to skip it. But if you

consider yourself a super goldsmith and you're happy to see me sit and fiddle with a paintbrush whilst I talk

through some of these things, then stick around. And I will try to feel really good about the fact that I just recorded 18 minutes.

It's like 10 a.m. on a Monday. I've got so much to do and I've just pissed away 18 minutes doing a version of this that was not this version.

that was my headrest moving, I'm fine. That wasn't my neck spinning.

I never know whether people listening to this. You are

intimately familiar with my work or maybe you're picking this up for the first time. So,

in brief, and probably I'll allow myself a minute on this. You can skip forward a minute if you've
