Hello friends, this is Jonathan Hellsir. Welcome to the podcast. It is so good to be with you guys and I'm thrilled that you are joining us for part two of this workshop.

And this is a teaching that I just shared out at Bethel Music's worship school out in Reading, California.

And this is part two of a beautiful workshop of learning how to be defined by the father's voice.

And at the end of this teaching, we're going to be sharing with you guys a prayer tool that has changed me and Melissa's life.

And so I want to share a tool with you guys that has helped sustain me in my moments of failure, my moments of success, my moments of walking off the stage or having these moments of pressure in life where I feel like I failed, I feel like I missed it.

And this tool has become a table for me to feast in the presence of my enemies, to feast with God in the presence of my accusers.

And it's a really, really simple tool.

And I was 19 years old when my dad taught me this. I brought three of my journals. I have a stack of these at home.

And when I pass away, my kids are going to inherit my journals.

And they're going to be able to open them up and see my story with God, my history with God.

When I was 19 years old, my dad taught me this beautiful practice of daring by faith to journal the voice of the Lord, to pray really honest prayers and then to skip a line and let God speak through my pen.

And I have probably about 30 of these journals at home.

How many of you guys have heard the voice of fear and shame?

How many of you guys have heard the voice of the Lord?

Oh, we're in a good room. I almost had as many hands go up.

I've been in rooms before. I asked how many of you have heard fear and almost every hand goes up.

And then I say, how many of you have heard God and maybe like five hands goes up?

I've been thinking recently, I'm like, wow, that's crazy that we have more faith that fear and shame wanted to find us than we have faith that God wants to speak to us.

God wants to speak to you even more than you want to hear him.
