Recently, I spent a bit of time with Lorraine McCall,

the first woman to climb all the Grimes in Scotland in a single journey.

And that's by no means her only accomplishment.

As you'll hear, she's completed a number of impressive adventures,

while also dealing with cancer three times.

We met in a place that's dear to her, the beautiful Murray Coast.

The climate here is not like anywhere else in Scotland, is it?

It's got its own little microclimate and it just always seems to be a good place to come

and if it's like it's really windy today, some of the higher hills could be a bit more of a

struggle whereas walking along the coast is just beautiful in the wind when you can see

I love being near the sea I love the sound of the sea and yeah you just get that sense of open

space when you're close to the sea this coastal path is a really popular route, isn't it?
