Facebook is going X-rated.

Well, kind of.

A gentleman, maybe you heard, but met a CEO, founder, all his other titles, Mark Zuckerberg, announced today.

And, of course, I saw the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that they're making some big changes at how the company handles, well, your content.

He said, and this is a quote, in recent years we've developed increasingly complex systems to manage content across our platforms,

partly in response to societal and political pressure to moderate content.

This approach has gone too far.

We want to fix that and return to that fundamental commitment to free expression. Today, we're

making some changes to stay true to that ideal. And the big change is at Facebook, and I suppose

Instagram as well, they're getting rid of the so-called fact checkers, and they're moving to a community note system like the one pioneered on X.

Bill, I bet you can tell me in two words why Zuckerberg is doing this.

I'm going to go with Trump and Donald.
