who achieved success with multiple businesses, but I crave something deeper. So I dedicated

myself to personal growth and transformation by revamping my mindset. I went from being unable

to run a mile to conquering four marathons the following year. Now, I want to help others

manufacture big breakthroughs of their own. And I was on our international women's state crews

where 100% of the bridge was manned by women. And it was history making for our industry.

And then I got off that cruise and three days later we were shut down for 15 months.

And it was something you really can't plan for, can you?

Even as a leader, you can't plan for how you're going to lead people. 20,000 people

is who I, you know, are the number of people that I was leading only for celebrity, but yet I was,

you know, on the executive committee for the company and so much many other employees and people

were counting on all of us to get us, get us through that really dark time. But I learned that, you know, there's a quote in the book,

never let a good crisis go to waste.

And so I, as I was thinking through how I rally our team at celebrity,

I needed to refocus them in a positive way.

And so I got up every day looking for the silver lining in the COVID-19 cloud.

And I found a project and our mantra became our comeback is going to be stronger than our setback.

And prior to that, she served as president and CEO of celebrity cruises, where she became the first woman to take the helm of her Royal Caribbean Group brand, and one of the few women then leading a multi-billion dollar brand with a B. She is a recognized trailblazer in the global hospitality

industry, and she was the driving force behind transforming and redefining today's

relaxed luxury cruise experience, no big deal. In the years leading up to the global pandemic,

she led celebrity cruises to a historic financial performance, and even more impressive.
