So one of my favorite things to search up on YouTube are ring doorbell camera footage videos or like any sort of like creepy footage caught on like ring doorbell cameras or baby monitors and most of the time these videos just end up being harmless

mostly just like a bit creepy or scary but back in 2007 when a man named Edward in the Czech Republic was setting up his baby monitor for his newborn son, he would find something horrific.

When flipping through the signal channels trying to connect his baby monitor screen to the camera, he accidentally connected to

another baby monitor nearby. Only the footage showed on this baby monitor

was a little boy sitting in the middle of a dark basement with his hands bound

this week we are going to be talking about the Curum case. On May 7th, 2007, in the town of Curram, in

South Eastern Russia, in the Czech Republic, had a population of around 10 to 11,000.

A man named Edward and his wife were at home and randomly his wife fell into early labor.

Edward quickly drove his wife to the hospital, but since this baby was early, they had nothing set up,

like a crib or the nursery so quickly

Edward rushed home and started putting the whole nursery together building the

crib and adding a baby monitor for those who don't know what a baby monitor is it's kind of like a security camera kept in your baby's room to keep an eye on them when they're napping or getting out of bed.

So Edwards set up this monitor right in front of the crib and began connecting the baby monitor camera to the receiver, which is the

screen that you can see the camera feed on. But when he was successfully able to connect, he realized

that the image he was seeing on the screen was not the same angle of the camera he had just put in front of the crib.

This footage was of a young boy who seemed to be naked, playing in a dark room looked to be like a basement due to there being no windows, playing with a roll of

tape while his hands were bound.

This image was jarring, so he quickly changed signals, and after flipping through he was able to match the signal to the baby monitor
