Becca Freeman and today is our book club episode for

Margot's got money troubles by Rupi Thorpe and I am very excited about this one I'm

thrilled for this one. Somebody asked me this week if I had any books that came out in 2024 that I think might make my best books of the 21st century list and this was the first book that came to mind.

I said I need to let it marinate to see how much staying power it has, but I do not feel casually

about this book. I feel casually about this book. I do too. I absolutely loved it.

Well let's get some us stuff out of the way so we can get into some book stuff. What is your high, Olivia? I think a boring high. I was just

telling you about this before we hit record, but I had a very nice sort of impromptu dinner party in my backyard and it looked gorgeous.

Thank you. It reminded me of when we first got the house I had this vision for

the back patio in the garden and I was like I'm gonna to have a dinner party and I'm going to have a long oval teak table and it's the first time we've had that many people here and it was just it was really nice. It was just like lots of cheese and crackers and fancy butter and radishes and it was just very delightful.

Excessive amount of wine. I feel like an excessive amount of melting taper candles was also part of your vision. Did that come to life as well?

I thought about that. I was a bit overwhelmed because it was my first time hosting, but next time I'm going to add that in.

Okay great yeah that might be more of like a non a hundred degrees out vibe.

Yeah it was actually not that hot which made it perfect but I also think I needed tablecloths for that because there was some

staining going on from like the various dressings and whatnot but my real high I

wanted to talk about is this thing that I can't stop thinking about,

which is that a couple weeks ago,

I was laying in bed, Jake was there,

I was falling asleep, and I was just feeling kind of goofy

and couldn't sleep.
