Marion Joan Hurley was a 44 year old from Granbury, Texas.

She was the mother of two daughters and had a fiery personality.

On September 18, 1999, Marion and her husband had just come back from a camping trip. They stopped at the

golf course they owned. Marion then got in someone's car and left. She was never seen again. I'm at Denzel and this is

unfound. So, As there ever been a more damning phrase in the English language then?

Yep, that's about what I expected.

In those six words, the speaker conveys so many unsaid feelings.

First and foremost, in a negative way,

the speaker shows he or she feels almost too knowledgeable about the topic.

Second, in having that knowledge, the speaker wishes he or she could just be surprised once.

Just once. Really, nobody ever says after winning mega millions,

yep, that's about what I expected.

And third, there's the belief that the speaker's hopes have been dashed.

He or she wanted something new, something interesting.

But nope, more of the same old, same old, i.e. I was so much hoping for steak tonight, but it's Tuesday, and that means meatloaf. I mean seriously how boring what our lives be if the only

things that happened to us were what we expected. Nobody wants to live Groundhog Day, although it was a great movie.

Well, in the disappearance of Marion Hurley, it appears we're getting exactly what we expect.

A husband who claims his wife got in a car with someone and drove off.

And he has no idea who the driver was or where Marion went. So using my pun abilities to the greatest

extent given where the husband said he last saw Marion, I'm calling this episode PAR for the course.
