is sometimes held together in tenuous threads, you know?

And things can shift pretty quickly.

And... you know, and things can shift pretty quickly. And, you know, I have this impulse to say that we're having challenging times,

but as I think back over the last 10 years of doing this show, there's been many occasions

where I've said, wow, things are really bad right now.

And in some ways, compared to the last few years, things are actually a little bit better right now, I would say.

To be real, given everything that's happened in the last, say, five years, right now, things aren't as crazy as they were,

and at the same time, they feel crazier than ever, don't they?

And I was reflecting back on a conversation I had here on this show many years ago with Carol Horton and it was about

paradigm shifts and how there's a moment of crisis when the old paradigm is collapsing and the new paradigm

has yet to emerge. And back when we talked about that years ago,
