Hello, hello, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Forward. Today, we are going to be doing a deep dive on Mark Zuckerberg. We've kind of, you know, he comes up in the blind items more than you would think for someone who, I mean, no shade, but like, look at the guy, right? Anyway, so he briefly came up when I did an episode about Lana Del Rey with Troy McKee from Beyond the Blinds a couple years ago here on Fluently Forward.

But Mark Zuckerberg is just, you know, he's rising in wealth, obviously. He's rising in power. He's rising in status. He's also rising in fame. Like he was there at Donald Trump's inauguration. He was recently on the Joe Rogan show. We're going to talk about all of that towards the end of the episode when we talk about the future of Mark Zuckerberg. But I think the time is right. Let's do an entire deep dive on him. So most of what I previously know about Mark Zuckerberg is from headlines and then also the movie, the Social Network, which was such a phenomenal movie.

And I know it wasn't perfectly accurate, but like, who cares?

Like, honestly, most of it was.

And there's something about both Jesse Eisenberg.

He played Mark Zuckerberg so well.

And Andrew Garfield, that scene where he's playing Eduardo Savarin and he comes on in and he goes,

blah, blah, blah, blah, mark, mark. And he's wired in. Oh yeah. And he smashes. I could repeat every single line of it, you know. Tell me this isn't about me getting into the Phoenix. Tell me it's not about the

chicken. Anyway, I could honestly do the whole movie, but it's just such a good

movie. And it was so fascinating for a lot of us because something that I find really interesting

is the majority of where we direct our vitriol and our snark, it's always the wrong people. First

of all, it's always women. Okay. It's always women. But secondly, it's always these powerful people. Like, it always drives me crazy when people are trying to, you know, take down some female influencer in New York City because she gets like $8 lottes every day and she has a dice and air wrap. And people are like, eat the rich. And it's like, okay, that's not like I get what you're trying to do.

That's not eat the rich. Like the rich, the rich, like the people that have so much money,

they're making other people actively suffer. It's the Mark Zuckerbergs. It's the Jeff Bezos.

It's the Mark Benioffs. It's the Peter Teals. It's all of these guys with, you know, levels of wealth you can't even comprehend.

But because we don't see them that much on a screen, which they do on purpose, they don't

become these celebrity-like figures and what comes with being a celebrity.

Criticism.

Wanting somebody to take you down a notch.

So I really think the social network was a great movie that put Mark Zuckerberg

on the map that he wouldn't have been in a different way. For example, Evan Spiegel, I think. He is the
