Hi everyone, this is John DeLin and I just want to make a very brief announcement.

For those of you who haven't seen online, I'm very excited to announce that

Marriage and Family Therapist Natasha Helfer Parker, who's a dear friend,

is teaming up with me John DeLin and my wife Margie DeLin to host a workshop

on Marriage and Faith Transitions. This is an all day workshop on August 3rd, 2014.

It's going to be held at a very nice location in Logan, Utah for those who are able to get away for a day.

Again, Sunday, August 3rd, it's going to be 9am to 5pm. The schedule is really exciting.

We're going to talk, you know, you're going to meet other couples that are sort of in various

stages. Some are going to be in a mixed faith marriage where one believes and one doesn't and

they're trying to make that work. Others are going to be sort of partial believers or even couples

that are non-believers that are just trying to figure out how to navigate marriage and relationships

and spirituality after leaving the church. But we think that this is going to be something that

people in any of those situations will enjoy and find value. It's going to start with just some

meet and greet kind of informal meeting so you can meet some really cool people that are

struggling with the same kinds of things you are. I'm going to give a little bit of a discussion about

about the day. I give a presentation called Departing Eden where we talk a little bit about

framing, you know, faith transitions and marriage relationships sort of post-orthodoxy.

Natasha is going to talk about the pillars of healthy relationships after sort of leaving

traditional believing Mormonism as a couple. We're going to talk about, you know, embracing

celebrating and navigating a faith transition. And then after lunch, we're going to have a lunch and

then we're going to talk about strategies for conflict management, healthy communication.
