who do that. Guys, we are in Matthew chapter 5. We're towards the end, not the end of Jesus' words,

with the end of this chapter. We have heard Jesus talking about, well, a lot of law here, man.

Jesus is telling them that their righteousness is going to have to

exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, and then it's going on a little lesson about what it would

look like if you were actually righteous. And then most people's minds, I think they think,

well, if I was righteous, that means I wouldn't do the bad thing.

Well, that's certainly true.

I mean, if you were righteous, you wouldn't do the bad thing.

But Jesus is up in it way more than that and saying, actually, there's things that you would do if you were righteous that would never enter your mind to do.

And he's getting into some of that.
