Hello there this is Sam and this is the mega 400 word 100 episode test I've been talking

about for quite a while and it is finally here. This took quite a long time to record and a long time to edit as you might imagine.

So anyway, here it is, I'm not going to do much preamble, it's 400 words.

I give the word and then I give the definition.

Eufemism, that is when you substitute a mild or indirect word for a word that's considered to be very harsh or blunt.

For example, you could call someone economical with the truth instead of calling them a liar.

Endemic, endemic. Andemic means natural to a specific people or place.

So you could have a country where there's a certain disease which is endemic and that disease is characteristic of that place.

So endemic means, cause means kind of belonging exclusively or confined to a particular region.

Desicate, desiccate, that means to dry thoroughly, to dry something up,

so you might desiccate grapes to make raisins.

Idiosincrecy.

Idiosincrecy.

That's a characteristic or a habit or a mannerism that's specific to a certain individual. So you might have realized at this point that I have as a person I have various idiosyncrasies. So little things I say or do that are very specific to me.

VIM, that means energy and enthusiasm.

So if you have a lot of Vim, you have high spirits,

you have a lot of vitality, maybe you're running around,

and just a high energy person with a lot of VIM.
