Welcome into First Draft.

We're the only show that thinks the Super Bowl was not played yesterday, but actually begins 73 days from right now in Detroit,

and takes place for the three days following that.

I'm Field Yates and the man who is the NFL draft, Mel Kuiper, as always joins me, Mel, you can agree

73 days is when the real action takes place.

It does. The draft began in late August at week zero field. We started watching these kids

really two years ago because you want to have the year prior to when they are draft

eligible you never know who's going to come out early so you really have two full

years you go back even into the early part of their careers some even look at the

high school tape of kids so it's a body of work that's important.

And today we're going to highlight some of those under their underrated sleeper type guys.

It may drop a little further in the draft and maybe their press clippings indicate or whatever we see

something we like in these guys and maybe others don't but this is about

bargains this is about steals this is about guys that will go at the point in the

draft where we think it's a really a nice pick for that

particular team. Yeah not too much talk about guys are you going the first round

today not too many players that maybe were named all Americans the best this past

season or highest been trophy candidates things of that nature.
