Hello everyone. We will be back in a few weeks with all new episodes of climbing gold.

But in the meantime, we wanted to drop a show from our very first season. It's about Memphis Rocks,

which is one of a kind. It's a climbing gym, but also a community center, and they don't turn

people away, and it's an experiment that's been working in their community. A lot of you guys

might know it from the Real Rock film Black Ice.

I had the pleasure of visiting a couple years ago because the Honol Foundation actually

supported a solar installation on the roof to help them keep more money within their own community.

They've been going through a bit of a tough time. Insurance is going up, security's going up.

Actually, I sort of empathize because we recently had a big septic issue that insurance didn't

cover at our house.

And so I can only imagine at the scale of a commercial gym that a pipe burst and some water

damage and insurance isn't covering it.

And so far, the climbing community has really stepped up to help support Memphis Rocks

in their time of need.
