Good afternoon, everyone. It's Dr. Niagara again, our next episode of Psychology. I'm plugged. Thank you to all of our followers and comments and much appreciation to everybody for the stuff that we're posting on Instagram. I still quite haven't mastered how to afford the reels, except somebody was kind enough to show me how to take a screenshot and do that.

So why you see half my phone pop up on there on Instagram is that's how I'm able to at least download or put the reels up.

Mental health continues to be on a rampage, both here in the United States and across the globe,

0:51.7

and there's no end in sight, and certainly there is a paucity of

1:51.4

And I'm going to piggyback off of kind of last week's topic,

1:55.6

which is I did postpartum depression and psychosis,

2:00.2

because I got a phone call the other day from somebody

2:03.2

from the New York Times who, because in our town, you know, with all humility, is a very nice

2:12.0

town in Massachusetts, but the tragedy of three children's lives being taken by a mother who apparently had,

2:23.4

or because she's alive, has postpartum depression.

2:26.6

And I really, what I wanted to really kind of focus this whole podcast topic on,

2:31.5

and I think it would be a totally incredibly long one is that mental illness is a

2:37.3

real thing it it really is uh it depending on the severity and the chronicity and the trajectory
