Already gone. In this week's episode we are looking at two unsolved cases, one from Flint and

one from Farmington. The second case, The Murder of Deborah Wrenchler,

was one of the earliest episodes of the podcast.

Her case remains open and unsolved,

so we're taking another crack at it this week.

For our first segment, we're headed to Flint,

to the scene of a violent unsolved homicide. Friday, July 24th, 1992, was a typical summer day in Michigan.

Temperatures were in the high 70s with a cooler evening.

22 year old Matthew Leach had plans that night.

He was going to see a former girlfriend.

The two of them had plans to meet up in the late evening.

Matthew was finally looking to the future. He'd run

into some legal issues a year or two earlier and spent some time in jail for drunk driving.

Matthew went from jail to a transition house and then moved in with one of his

brothers. Matthew came from a big family. His parents, Herb Senior and Jeanette, had five children, Herb Jr. Jeff, Chris, Matt, and Kathy.

In the summer of 1992, Matthew was living with his brother Jeff.

On this summer evening Matthew is getting ready to meet up with his former girlfriend.
