For years, sales of personal computers have been flagging, but now there's something that executives of companies like Microsoft are hoping will make PCs relevant again, according to CNN. Say it with me. AI.

Last week, Microsoft announced a new line of computers that have artificial intelligence built directly into them. No internet connection needed.

Its co-pilot plus PCs run on OpenAI's new

chat GPT40 technology. If you thought AI was a little creepy before, well, buckle up. ChatGPT4O is

OpenAI's attempt to take the technology from Google adjacent to full-on digital personal assistant.

This latest iteration is meant to engage in real-time spoken conversations and interact using text

and vision. That means it can look at images and screenshots and have a conversation with

users about them. And now, well, it's at the core of Microsoft's new PCs.

The computers also play off Microsoft's existing AI feature called copilot. That can help with tasks

such as writing, scheduling, designing presentations, and keeping track of emails, according to CNN.
