Summary

We open Mooney's Vault to relive another legendary conversation. We welcome former WWE ring announcer, Mike McGuirk, for a 2+ hour conversation! Mike talks about how she got into ring announcing and color commentating, and how she became known for not only her voice, but her unique ring attire and hair, as well. Mike also talks about how her father, Leroy McGuirk, got into wrestling as a kid, his relationships with Stu Hart and Ted DiBiase, and losing his eyesight. She discusses how the name "Mike" came to be, and how Leroy reacted to when she first started dating. Mike sets the record straight on her relationship with B. Brian Blair, and what really happened the night Leroy almost shot Brian! Mike reflects on first joining the WWE, what it was like working with Howard Finkel, and his resistance to her as a newcomer. Mike also talks about the relationships she formed with Sherri, Liz, and other women, and what it was like balancing family and work and being pregnant while working in WWE. Plus, her transition from announcer to commentary, some of her most memorable events during her time in WWE, what led to her ultimate departure in 1994, and so much more!
