Hello everyone and welcome to the slash film show. Today is Thursday, October 26th,

0:03.8

2023. On today's episode we are going to gather around the virtual water cooler and talk about what we've been up to.

0:09.6

My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at slash film

0:14.3

editor B.J. Colangelo. Hi, hi, hi, yeah. How's it going B.J.

0:18.6

Oh, it's going just dandy. You just got done doing some interviews for slash film.com, so I just want to tease that just you know I'm not even going to say with who just you know

0:28.3

Stay tuned to slash film.com to see b.J's coverage. It'll be in November, like first week in November.

0:35.0

Awesome, yeah, which is not as far away as it sounds. Okay, so let's get into what we've been doing.

0:41.0

As you can probably still hear from my voice, I'm still a little bit sick. I got COVID because my wife and I went to see our favorite band, The Midnight, I actually saw them twice. We saw them here near where I live in Jacksonville, Florida and then my sister and her husband live in Orlando.

0:59.0

And the midnight was going to be playing in Orlando. I think it was two nights after they played in Jacksonville and so we

1:05.8

bought tickets for both and saw the same show essentially in two different venues

1:11.7

which was a lot of fun and man I love this band they're like my favorite band and I've seen them several times live and they just keep getting better and tighter and like the show keeps getting more and more impressive and this was my first time seeing them with like the official band lineup all you know in in

1:29.8

performing at the same time a lot of times I'd seen them previously where like certain people hadn't joined the band yet or like somebody was out due to other commitments or whatever so it was really great to to experience seeing my favorite band live was awesome.

1:44.9

And then we also had a chance since we went to Universal, we'd sort of like made a weekend

1:48.5

out of it and went to Universal Studios in Orlando, which I haven't been to in many, many years. Have you ever been to Universal,

1:55.8

PJ? Oh yeah, I go to the one out in Hollywood quite a bit, but I haven't been to the one in Orlando

2:01.6

since I was a kid and got scarred for life because they had giant T1,000 like like his skeletons walking around and I was not cool with that as a kid and now I forever have like a little bit of unease whenever I watch Terminator movies because a little little thing in the back of my brain is like remember when you were seven walking around Universal and

2:23.4

Terminators were looking at you? Those things are real, they're not just a, not just

2:28.8

part of a movie. Yeah, that's great. Man, yeah, the, uh, sadly, Universal Studios Orlando no longer has,

2:36.1

I don't want to say it was called, uh, I don't remember what it was called.

2:40.2

It was like a Terminator, a Terminator stage show, um, that was like a Terminator stage show that was like a 3D ride kind of experience.

2:47.4

You sat there and it was more of a like actors, a guy wrote a motorcycle out on a stage at one point but yeah you're put on

2:53.8

3D glasses and this was like way before the 3D boom of avatar and all that but yeah
