Nine long years ago two men had a vision, produce a competition to pit cryptids against each

other in an absolute shit show of a beauty pageant.

It would be as lovely as it was lethal, as gorgeous as it was gory.

Four fugly fiends went head-to-head for four weeks, sixteen total terrors for the month

of May, with one winner crowned, the 2013 Miss Cryptid by the voting audience.

In 2014, the contest returned, and the men decided that sixteen cryptids over four weeks

was too damn much, and so the contest was streamlined to three weeks of three cryptids each.

From then the format was set, and the hazmat suits got wet, with the blood of defeated contestants,

much to the delight of audience members across the world.

2022 marks the 10th annual Miss Cryptid contest, and while the format retains its familiarity,

so too will the contestants for this year we celebrate excellence, we honor superiority,

we revere glory by having the best of the best, compete for the ultimate acclaim, the

title of Miss Cryptid Champion of Champions.

Hello, and welcome to the very first contest of Champions!

Nine years of carnage with nine winners, a top nine heaps of assorted viscera, and now

these smelagant ladies will dance duets of death for you to choose, who will be the

scream of the crop.

The contestants have been mixed in a way that pits critters from across the timeline against

each other.
